WAKU WAKU CRAFT BEER BY IPPIN CAFÉ BAR
As craft beers are becoming increasingly popular, we would also like to join in the conversation by introducing some unique Japanese imported craft beers to you. Bottled craft beers often feature really unique and aesthetically pleasing designs. These Waku Waku Craft Beers are no exception (and definitely insta-worthy), the appearance of these beer bottles are minimalistic and crisp.
Most Japanese beers are primarily brewed using imported barley. However, this Hyakumangoku Beer series; crafted by Waku Waku Farm Brewery Co. Ltd., are made by brewers who invested their hearts and souls in growing the best barley to live up to their belief and motto: “beer making starts from barley making.”
Furthermore, these beers are colour-coded. How convenient for non-Japanese speakers like us!
The Koshihikari Ale (gold) uses locally grown Koshihikari rice to produce this light beer. This beer pairs especially well with Japanese and Asian dishes. It has a smooth texture and really refreshing taste. Finally, it has a 4.5% alcoholic content.
The Pale Ale (blue) has a slightly higher alcoholic content of 5%. It has a subtle hop’s bitterness which gives it a clean and refreshing after taste.
With a fruity aroma and creamy foam, the Weizen (green) has a very unique and pleasant taste which stands out from the other Waku Waku craft beers. This beer also has an alcoholic content of 5%.
The Dark Ale (brown) has the highest alcoholic content of 5.5%, the taste of this beer is very rich as well. The rich malt used to produce this beer was grown by the brewer. It is a deeply accented beer with a hint of bitterness from the hop.
Head down to the IPPIN booth at the Donburi Revolution now till 21 October, Sunday, from 11am–9pm, to try these aromatic beers! Each bottle costs $13, but is selling at $10 during these 3 days!
